Brunswick Heads and New Brighton 

Both beaches are lovely for a swim and a long walk … all the way to Byron if you are up to it . 
Swimming for children at a little beach called Torakina next to the main surf beach. It is an inlet next to the river mouth and is calm, tranquil and beautiful Brunswick River.

Salty Mangrove - our latest favourite for Mediterranean small plates, cocktails, drinks, music and vibe in New Brighton> near the beach and river

Old Maids Burger bar - Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch. Grass Fed beef, Local produce, Fish and Vegan.

Daily Counter - Great coffee opposite Old Maids.

Saint Maries - Next to Old Maids and the Sails Motel is a great neighbourhood style wine bar/pizza restaurant. Great atmosphere, live music sometimes, great pizzas.

Hotel Brunswick is good and has a great outdoor beer garden. 

La Casita Mexican - is fabulous and often fully booked but does do lunch also on weekends.

Bottle & Hoop - specialist Deli, wines and spirits

Yami - Middle Eastern vegetarian take away/dine in.

Natural Ice Cream Australia - Artisanal small batch cultured ice creams with local and indigenous produce. 21 Mullumbimbi Street (weekends only)

Mullumbimby is close to Hidden Byron and the food scene is now so good !

Mullumbimby Continental - also new fave! Euro bistro, small bar with cool vibe, excellent service, cocktails and food

Ottilies - Great wood fired pizzas and salads run by the fab Baker & Daughters . Does take out.

Pink Lotus - Vietnamese. Eat in /take out. Open lunch and early dinner.

Rock n’ Roll - Favourite breakfast /lunch cafe ,down an alley. Asian Australian food and great coffee. 

Mullum Continental - Euro style food, drinks, cocktails

Baker and Daughters - fantastic bakery. Everything is good

Brookies Gin Distillery  - This is quite close to the house and is a fantastic outing if you fancy something different. Really beautiful hinterland setting.

Barrio - Wood fired cafe and bar. All day dining.

Masa Byron Bay - Artisan craft bakehouse. Amazing croissants.

Bare Blends - Smoothie & Juice Bar.

Stone and Wood - good cafe as well as the brewery. 

The best shopping in Byron for fashion /homewares is in this estate . There is an area called Habitat next to Barrio and also Centennial Circuit. Mc Tavish Surf shop.

Bangalow and Newry Bar

Definitely worth a drive up the Hinterland way as pretty town with lovely shopping and nice cafes, restaurants.

Woods Bangalow - locally focussed and seasonal Sister cafe to Folk cafe.

Ciao Mate - Italian.

You Beauty - small plates, wine bar.

Red Ginger - Asian dumplings.
